Lassa fever: FUNAAB undergrad, 18 others under watch in Ogun

 ABEOKUTA—THE Ogun State Government, yesterday, said it has placed a-24-year-old female undergraduate of Federal University of Agriculture, FUNAAB, Abeokuta (name withheld) and 18 others under contact watch of Lassa fever in Ogun state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Babatunde Ipaye disclosed this while addressing newsmen at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Ipaye explained that the undergraduate had contact with the index case of Lagos, recorded in Ahmadiyyah Hospital in Ojokoro area of the state.
He said apart from the female student, the others are workers of the Ahmadiyya hospital but live in Ogun State.
