* President Goodluck Jonathan
The ex-NDDC boss, who made the assertion in Benin City, also called on the leadership of the state PDP not to impose any candidate on the electorates before the 2016 governorship polls in the state.
Iduoriyekemwen
while lauding President Jonathan's performance so far, said the
incumbent president has performed better than any other president the
country had produced in the past.
He described as "uncalled for" for some persons to say the president should not run for the 2015 election because of the menace of the radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram.
"When Niger Delta militants were fighting, it did not stop the late President Umaru Yar’Adua from contesting the election. So, the fact that Boko Haram is waging war against Nigeria cannot stop Jonathan from seeking re-election" Iduoriyekemwen said. "I don’t see the Boko Haram insurgency disrupting elections in 2015. That is actually the motive of those people trying to frustrate government from conducting peaceful election in 2015".
