Revealed: Davido bought second hand Porsche car for Chioma.. He didn’t buy it for N45m

Amid all the hoopla surrounding the luxury SUV vehicle popular singer, David Adeleke aka Davido bought for his girlfriend Chioma, different figures have been bandied about concerning the value of the Porsche.

Some news sources put the value of the car at N45 million, this is nowhere near the case, as the car is clearly a tokunbo vehicle. Even brand new Cayennes can be obtained for less than N45 million.

According to research conducted by auto aficionado’s, the truck is a 2011 model which retails from about ($25,000) N10 million, exclusive of customs and other charges.

The total value of the vehicle is usually less than N20 million. However the trim Davido purchased seems to be full options probably bringing the total value of the car to about N20 million.

This is still a large sum of money but nowhere near the N45 million that would be spent to obtain a newer model of the vehicle.

Even the 2018 model starts retailing from about $65000 (N24 million) and certainly to get it to Nigeria will still be less than N40 million, depending on how ambitious the car dealer is.

Still that doesnt take away from the fact that Davido has certainly splurged on the love of his life. Its just not as big a spluge as certain media elements have hyped it to be.

Actress, Rita Nzelu’s family refunds N70 bride price to former in-laws

Nollywood actress, Rita Nzelu’s family has refunded the sum of N70 (Seventy Naira) for the bride price initially paid to Simeon Okoro’s Family.

The Imo state based former in-laws of the actress are said to have confirmed receipt of the payment done in February, owing to irreconcilable differences between the actress and her now estranged husband.

According to a reliable source, the marriage which lasted a total of fourteen years started having issues as a result of infidelity coupled with the fact that the actress insisted on not burying her career.

The actress opted to build her home first and then return to movies later, however, that plan lasted for the first ten years as she temporarily left the industry to attend to family first but since she returned some years back, it has not been easy for the couple as they failed to be reconciled.

According to a report from Diamond Celebrities, the 14 year old marriage of actress Rita Nzelu to Simeon Okoro has crashed.

The report stated that the crash came as a result of rumors of infidelity, between the beautiful actress and her friend.

In 1990, actress Rita Nzelu joined Nollywood and acted in her first movie “Living in Bondage” a movie that brought Nollywood to prominence. She was skyrocketted to the top after the movie “Living in Bondage” became a blockbuster.

She is very beautiful, gifted, creative, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.

The pool of talent of hers has seen her act in more than 100 Nollywood movies which include Nneka the Pretty Serpent, Long John, Odenigbo, Ukwa, Living in Bondage, Baby Mama, Unforgiven, etc. She had always played the role of a nagging wife in Nollywood movies.

A housemaid has reportedly been arrested after injuring her employer who allegedly tried to rape her.

Unfortunately for the man, he got badly injured and bled profusely.

She was arrested and placed in handcuffs as she cried at the police station while begging for forgiveness.

Young Man seen bathing on Lekki-Epe expressway this morning (Video)

An unidentified young man was seen having his bath on the Lekki-Epe expressway in the early hours of this morning.

For reasons best known to him, he decided to leave the comfort of his home to have a bath on the major express road using a couple of sachet water despite the peering eyes of the public.

A passerby who witnessed the incident took a video of the man’s weird and offensive actions, unknown to him and shared it on micro-blogging site, Twitter.

The released video which is now viral has sparked an online outrage as there are speculations that he was acting based on the instructions of a native doctor.

Nigerians noted that whether for good spiritual cleansing or for money rituals, the man having thought about the repercussion of his actions prior to the incident is seen to have damned the consequences and carried on with the act.

May Day: Oni laments salary arrears owed Ekiti workers

A leading governorship aspirant in the May 5 primary of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ekiti, Chief Olusegun Oni, has said that he is not happy about the huge arrears of salaries, gratuities and pensions being piled up monthly in the state.

Oni, in a statement on Sunday signed by his media aide, Mr Steve Alabi, sympathised with Ekiti workers and retirees “on the hard times they are going through.

“You deserve better than what you are getting as the Holy Books themselves strongly assert that a labourer deserves his wages.”

Oni, who was the immediate past Deputy Chairman, South of the party promised to again make workers’ welfare a priority if elected in the July 14 governorship election in the state.

“In my first tenure, I inherited gratuity and pension arrears even from the old Ondo State and we paid them off.

We did an analysis on post-retirement poverty with which we tackled this problem. We determined we would not owe anyone by 31st of December, 2007 and we achieved it.”

He said, “we did it because we made it a priority. We paid gratuity within 60 days. We also introduced loans for people to build houses.”

Oni argued that prompt and regular payment of salaries, gratuities and pensions depended on “what each administration considers its priority” and submitted that “salaries should be a priority of governments because the worker deserves his wages.”
